Welcome to The Kids Village Nursery - Ayrshire’s first Early Years Facility hosting a full interactive role-play village in which learning, creativity and curiosity are sparked and nurtured amongst children.
At TKV, we are firm believers that children learn best through play. We take on a child-centred method focused on self-directed learning and exploration, emphasising hands on activities, collaborative play and a carefully prepared environment, where children can freely choose their activities, snack times, and work at their own pace.
The roles of our Early Years Practitioners are to facilitate learning & guidance, rather than providing direct instructions.
Our nursery is open plan, with areas free flowing onto one another and circling around the central piazza, where the eating area is situated. We cater to children aged 2-5 on a private and funded basis.

“Our daughter has only been at The Kids Village Nursery for a short time, but she has grew in confidence and is gaining new skills every week. She absoloutely loves coming to nursery and is always excited to see the staff and children. Our daughter’s favourite thing is definitely all of the different role play areas they have, endless amount of fun and engagement! Kids Village is always a warm and welcoming environment which I believe is why my daughter settled in so easily. We are excited to watch our daughter grow and flourish in her time at KV. We were sitting on the couch looking at her pictures from Nursery and she said: “I love my nursery!”
“Our son has been attending The Kids Village since it opened just a few weeks ago, and we couldn’t be happier. He absolutely adores it and has settled in so quickly. We were a little shocked by how quickly he felt right at home, as he usually gets upset when we leave him somewhere for the day. Now, he barely looks back when we drop him off because he’s so comfortable and excited to be there.
He loves the welcoming atmosphere and the freedom to explore all the different areas and Montessori toys and activities. He especially enjoys the little adventures with his friends and the wonderful staff, such as trips to the beach and walks into town.
What really stands out for us is how much he loves the staff. He’s still learning to talk, but he often says their names to us at home — clearly asking for them! This week, he was even banging on the door to get inside because he was so eager to start his day.
We also love the cute uniform and feel completely confident leaving him in the care of The Kids Village team. The regular updates and photos throughout the day are so reassuring and brighten our day as much as they do his.
We feel so lucky to have found The Kids Village and can’t recommend it highly enough!”
We love the nursey, staff are always welcoming every morning! My son absolutely loves going & is gutted when he isn’t 🤠the opportunity’s the kids have are brilliant. My son has been attending the kids village for a couple of months now and I can see a big difference in his confidence and his education, knowledge of colours and the alphabet. He loves nursery and has a great group of friends. The girls always go above and beyond! My boy loves football so they went and bought a ball and spend time outside with him playing! He also enjoys porridge and after mentioning it Megan bought it in straight away for him to have at breakfast time. The updates through out the day whilst I’m at work are also really nice aswell as the pictures of him taking part in activities. He likes to do adult jobs e.g help with the shopping and they always include him in the things he enjoys. He loves his time at nursery and is always telling me stories about his day when he’s home and how much he loves the staff in the nursery especially.
“The difference we have seen in our girl in just the 4 weeks since she started is amazing, her speech and confidence is coming on so quick. I love how varied her days are at nursery, and that being outdoors is a big part of it. Getting out into the community, seeing different things, learning all about the things she sees. Being encouraged to explore and grow in a lovely, varied environment with caring staff. I know every time I drop her off I’m confident she’s going to have the best day, is safe and well cared for.”
